Boat Painting & Stenciling Pricing—What to Know Before You Ask
Wondering what it costs to paint or stencil your boat? Here’s the short answer: it depends! Our pricing is customized based on several key factors that impact time, materials, and labor. Here’s what we look at:
Prep Work Required: Is your boat ready to go, or will it need sanding, stripping, or repair? Prep is a major piece of the puzzle.
Length of the Boat: We price per foot, but that varies depending on whether it’s a jon boat, mud boat, or bay boat—each has its own character and complexity.
Areas to Be Painted/Stenciled
- Exterior only, or inside too?
- Will the center console be painted?
- Is the motor getting a fresh look—painted, stenciled, or both? We’ll factor in whether it’s a tiller or a steering motor.
Stencil Design Complexity: Some stencils are one-layer wonders; others are multi-layer masterpieces. The type you choose directly affects the cost.
De-Rigging & Re-Rigging: Need the boat de-rigged before painting and then rigged again after? That’s additional labor we’re happy to do—but it does affect the price.
We’re here to make your boat look incredible and last in any conditions. If you’re thinking about a project, just message us with what you have in mind and we’ll walk you through it.
